The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. Today we celebrate Shift 3’s very own Captain Gelsinger, a dedicated firefighter who has served the City of Centralia since October 15, 2002. Promoted to Captain in April 2019, Mike has remained a steady force within our department—on the frontlines and behind the scenes.
Over the years, Mike has earned numerous certifications including Hazmat Technician, Instructor II, and Fire Service Inspector, and he’s also served several terms as Vice President of Local 618, always stepping up for his crew.
